Skopelos

The island of Skopelos belongs to the Sporades Islands cluster, which is situated opposite the coastline of the island of Evia and opposite the geographical district of Thessalia. Furthermore, Skopelos covers an area of 95 mē, it has a coastline of 67 km and it also has approximately 4.700 inhabitants.

Skopelos, the homonymous capital and port of the island, is a beautiful town, densely populated, with deep roots in history. Two storey and three storey traditional houses with bloomed doorsteps and numerous sacred churches, all built on uphill alleys, shall lead you to the acropolis of ancient Peparithos with the spectacular view and the castle. From the heart of the town you will go down the stairs and you will end up at the characteristic church of Panagia and the chapel of Agii Pandes.

Apart from the capital of Skopelos, all the settlements of the island have been declared scheduled and therefore they maintain their impressive picturesqueness.
